İntrakranyal Meningioma- Glioblastoma Multiforme Birlikteliği

Serebral meningiomların gliomlarla simultane birlikteliği oldukça ender olarak görülmektedir. Klinik ve radyolojik bulguların uyumsuz olması dolayısıyla tanı güç olabilir. Bu ilginç birlikteliği açıklamak için birçok etyogenetik hipotez ileri sürülmüşse de rastlantısal koinsidans gösteren farklı iki primer beyin tümörü olarak değerlendirilmektedirler. Bu çalışmamızda 64 yaşında kadın hastada tanısı, cerrahi rezeksiyon materyalinin histopatolojik incelenmesi sonucu konulabilen psammomatöz menengiom ve glioblastoma multiforme birlikteliği olgusunu ender görülmesi dolayısıyla bildiriyoruz.

Intracranial Meningioma Associated With Gliablastoma Multiforme

The simultaneous occurrence of meningioma and glioma is extremely rare. Diagnosis may be difficult due to discrepancy between the clinical and radiological findings. Although several aetiopathogenetic hypotheses have been suggested for explaining this curious association, they are evaluated as two different primary brain tumours occurred randomly in the same patient. In this study a case of coincidental glioblastoma multiforme and meningioma which was diagnosed histopathologically after surgical, resection was presented because of its rarity.
