Covid-19 Pandemisi Döneminde Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinde Mesleki Güdülenme

Amaç: Tüm dünyada görülen Covid-19 pandemisi sebebiyle yüz yüze eğitime ara verilerek uzaktan eğitime geçilmiştir. Örgün eğitim sırasında bile hemşirelik eğitiminde güdülenmeye ilişkin problemler yaşanırken uzaktan eğitimin öğrencilerin güdülenme düzeyini etkilediği düşünülmektedir ve çalışma Covid-19 pandemisinin öğrencilerin güdülenmesine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmanın örneklemini 158 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplamada Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Güdülenme Kaynakları ve Sorunları Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veriler 1-31 Mayıs 2020 döneminde online anket yöntemi ile toplanmıştır ve SPSS 21.0 programında frekans, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma, student t testi, Anova testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular:Öğrencilerin % 79,1’i Covid-19 pandemisinin motivasyonunu etkilediği ve % 52,5’i ise motivasyonunu olumsuz yönde etkilediği saptanmıştır.Motivasyonunun olumsuz yönde etkilendiğini bildiren öğrencilerin ise daha çok eğitimin uzaktan yürütülmesi, uygulamalı dersleri gerçekleştirememiş olmaları gibi faktörler nedeni ile olumsuz etkilendikleri görülmüştür. Uzaktan eğitim nedeniyle öğrencilerin motivasyonlarının olumsuz etkilendiği, hemşirelik mesleğinin saygınlığının artması ile ilgili olarak ise motivasyonlarının yükseldiği görülmüştür. Sonuç:Covid-19 pandemisi nedeniyle eğitimin uzaktan yapılması ve uygulamalı derslerin yüz yüze yapılamamış olması öğrencilerin motivasyonunu olumsuz yönde etkilemiştir. Öğrencilerin güdülenmelerini artıracak stratejilerin planlanması, hemşirelik eğitiminde uzaktan eğitim ve yüz yüze eğitimin kıyaslandığı çalışmaların yapılması önerilmektedir.

Motivation of Nursing Students During Covid-19 Pandemic

Objective:Due to the Covid-19 pandemic seen all over the world, face-to-face training has been postponed and it has been replaced with online training. In nursing education while there were problems related to motivation even during formal training, distance education is thought to affect students' motivation level. This study, therefore, aims to examine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on students' motivation. Material and Methods: The sample of the study consisted of 158 students Personal Information Form, Motivation’s Resources and Problems Scale were used for data collection. The data were collected through the online survey method between1-31 May 2020 and were analyzed in SPSS 21.0 program using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Student’s t-test, ANOVA test. Results: It was found that the Covid-19 pandemic affects the motivation of 79.1% of students and negatively affects the motivation of 52.5% of them. Students who report that their motivation was negatively affected, on the other hand, were seen to be affected negatively due to the factors such as performing distance learning and failure to perform the applied courses. It was observed that the motivation of the students was negatively affected due to distance education, and their motivation increased with the increase in the prestige of the nursing profession. Conclusion: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the distance of education and the fact that the applied lessons could not be done face to face affected the motivation of the students negatively.Developing strategies to increase students' motivation and carrying out studies comparing distance learning and face-to-face training in nursing education was recommended.
