The Effects of Placental Calcification on Perinatal Outcomes
Objective: Placental calcification is a commonly encountered situation with an unknown significance. There are publications defining the placental calcification as a risk factor in pregnant women. In our study, we overviewed the clinical reflection of placental calcification. Method: 106 patients without risk factors are included our study. The outcomes of 51 patients with grade 3 placental calcification on ultrasound were compared with 55 patients with grade 1-2 calcification. Results: Pregnancy counts and mean age were significantly lower in the study group with calcified placenta, compared to the group without calcification p=0,003; p
