Gelişmekte Olan Ülkelerde Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırımlar ve Ekonomik Entegrasyon: ASEAN ve MERCOSUR Örneği

Bölgesel ekonomik entegrasyonlara üyeliğin, doğrudan yabancı yatırımları (DYY) belirlemede önemli bir etkiye sahip olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada, bölgesel ekonomik entegrasyonun DYY üzerindeki etkisi, gelişmekte olan ülkelerin oluşturduğu iki bölgesel entegrasyon -ASEAN ve MERCOSUR- örneğinde ampirik olarak ortaya konulmuştur. 1980-2007 döneminde bölgesel ekonomik entegrasyonlar için kukla değişken kullanılarak oluşturulan model, sabit etkiler panel veri yöntemiyle tahmin edilmiştir. Tahmin sonuçlarına göre gelişmekte olan ülkelerin oluşturduğu iki bölgesel ekonomik entegrasyona üyelik, diğer belirleyici faktörlerle birlikte bölge ülkelerine DYY girişlerini artırmaktadır. Bölgeselleşmenin hızla arttığı günümüz dünyasında, gelişmekte olan ülkelerin daha fazla DYY çekebilmek için bölgesel entegrasyonlar içerisinde yer almaya çalışmaları ya da en azından ticaret anlaşmaları oluşturmaları gerekmektedir
