MMPI Profiles of the Students Who Applied and Won Air Traffic Control and Pilot Training Programs at Anadolu University

Öz Psychological tests special for measuring the fitness ofcandidates who want to become a pilot haven’t beendeveloped yet. Correspondingly MMPI tests have beenusing for this purpose. In this research MMPI test isadministered to 248 candidates who passed the eliminationexamination for “air traffic control” and “pilottraining” departments of Anadolu University, AviationVocational High School in the years of 2004, 2005, and2006. The aim of the study is to compare the studentswho passed the all examination and those who failedat some point of the examinations according to the 13sub tests scores taken from MMPI test. According tothe result; at the sub tests of PT (psikasteni), Mf (male-female), SC (schizophrenia) and MA (hipo-mania)scores of men are higher than the women.
