Nanoparçacıkların Özellikleri ve Akuatik Çevreye Etkisi

Günümüzde nano boyuttaki malzemelerin etkileyici bazı özellikleri sebebiyle, uygulama alanlarındaki artışına rağmen, insan hayatı ve akuatik çevre üzerindeki yan etkileri konusunda çok az şey bilinmektedir. Günlük hayatta insanlar, hayvanlar ve akuatik organizmalar birçok farklı yollarla nano-malzemelere maruz kalabilirler. Sucul sistemlerde ki nanopartiküller için bilimsel topluluğun ilgisi oldukça yeni, hızlı gelişiyor olsa da, nanopartiküller hakkında bilgiler sadece başlangıç aşamasındadır. Nanopartiküller akuatik ekosisteme ya doğrudan ya da abiyotik modifiye edilmiş olarak ulaşırlar. Biyolojik sistemin besin zincirinin en önemli halkalarından birini oluşturan akautik organizmaların nanoparçacıklara maruz kalması endişe verici bir konudur. Bazı durumlarda, nanopartiküller diğer maddeler veya kirleticiler ile de etkileşir, böylece organizmaları ve daha uzun bir sürede de bütün toplulukları ve ekosistemleri etkilemiş olur. Bu makalenin amacı doğal ve insan yapımı nanoparçacıklar hakkında temel bilgileri sunmakla birlikte, akuatik ortamda nano boyuttaki parçacıkların davranışlarını ve organizmalar ile etkileşimi hakkında bilgi vermektir.
