Kontrasepsiyon Amacı ile Bakırlı Rahim İçi Araç Kullanımının Kadın Cinsel Fonksiyonları Üzerine Etkisi

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı kontrasepsiyon için bakırlı rahim içi araç (RİA) kullanımının kadın cinsel fonksiyonları üzerine olası etkilerini araştırmaktır. Gereçler ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya Süleymaniye Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesi jinekoloji polikliniği’ne kontrol amaçlı başvuran 240 kadın dahil edilmiştir. Bu kadınların 105’ i kontrasepsiyon için RİA kullanmakta iken (RİA (+)), 135’ i hiçbir kontraseptif yöntem kullanmamakta idi (RİA-). Her iki gruba da Kadın Cinsel Fonksiyon İndeksi; “Female Sexual Function Index” (FSFI) ve Beck depresyon Ölçeği; “Beck Deppression Inventory” (BDI) uygulandı. Bulgular: Tüm FSFI alt boyutları ve total FSFI skoru RİA + grupta daha düşük saptanmıştır (p0.05). RİA (+) kadınların %80’ i ve kontrol grubunun %20’ si cinsel fonksiyon bozukluğuna sahipti. The Effect of Copper Intrauterine Device for Contraception on Female Sexual Function

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the possible effects of the use of copper intrauterine device (cu-IUD) for contraception on female sexual function. Material and Methods: 240 women who applied to the gynecology policlinic of Süleymaniye Research and Education Hospital were included in the study. While 105 of these women were using RIA for contraception (RIA +), 135 were not using a contraceptive method (RIA - control group). Both groups had Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI).
