İleri evre over kanserini taklit eden tüberküloz peritonit vakaları: Olgu sunumu
Peritoneal tuberculosis mimicking advanced ovarian cancer (case report)
Tuberculosis (tbc) continues to be endemic in the developing countries like Turkey. In Zeynep Kamil Hospital; three cases of tbc peritonitis were presented with pelvik mass, elevation of CA-125 levels, weight loss, ascites and plevral effusion. We made laparotomy in these cases with suspicion of ovarian cancer. During laparatomy, frozen section analysis suggested tb peritonitis. For this reason, we should suspect tbc peritonitis in cases with pelvic mass and elevated CA-125 level especially in endemic areas and we should confirm this histologically.
