Cholestatic hepatitis due to epstein-barr virus infection:A case report

A rare cause ofacute hepatitis is Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) .The main disease caused by EBV is ınfectious mononucleosis characterized by sore throat fever and adenopathy triad. Liver involvement is usually mild and resolves spontaneously severe cholestasis is rare. We report here three-year--oldgirl with cholestatic hepatitis, presenting with elevated liverjunction tests, alkalen phosphatase, gama glutamil transpeptidase and bilirubin.
