This study was carried ôut to detennine th°e' cffects of different sowing rates (300, 400 and 500 grain/m 2) on yield and yield components of Anadolu-86 ,  Cumhu riyet-50 , Hamidiye-85  and  Tokak-1 57/37  cultivars  in 1993-94 and 1994-95 years under nç>n-irrigated conditions in Van . According to means of two years results, except total yield, the effects of sowing rates on the  examined   characteristics   were   signifıcant.   Increasing   sowing   rates increased the number of ears/m 2  signifıcantly .
