Bu çalışmada küresel mali krizin Türkiye ekonomisine etkileri sanayi üretim endeksleri, kapasite kullanım oranları, işsizlik oranları, büyüme, ihracat gibi göstergeler çerçevesinde incelenmektedir. ABD’de başlayarak Avrupa ve Asya ekonomilerini etkisi altına alan küresel krizin tüm dünya ile birlikte Türkiye’de de talep ve büyümede daralmaya neden olmuştur. ABD ve Avrupa ülkelerinde kriz dolayısıyla yaşanan durgunluk, bu ülkelere ihraç ettiğimiz ürünlerimizin talebinde ve ihracatımızda düşüşlere neden olmuştur. Sanayi üretim endeksleri ve kapasite kullanım oranlarında görülen düşüşler, küresel mali krizin olumsuz etkilerinin Türkiye’de hissedildiğini göstermektedir. Küresel mali krizin Türkiye’de yarattığı belirsizlik ve güven problemi, reel kesim ve tüketici güven endekslerindeki düşüşlerden görülmektedir. İşsizlik oranlarındaki artış krizin Türkiye ekonomisindeki en olumsuz etkilerinden olmuştur.

This paper investigates the effects of global fi nancial crisis on Turkish economy in the frame of indicators such as index of industrial production, capacity utilisation rate, unemployment rate, economic growth and export. The global crisis, which started in USA and effected the European and Asian economies, has caused a contraction in demand and economic growth both in Turkey and all over the world. The recession in the USA and European countries, has caused a reduction in the demand for Turkish products that are exported to those countries. The decrease in the index of industrial production and capacity utilisation rate indicates that the negative effects of global fi nancial crisis are perceived in Turkey. The problem of uncertainty and confi dence, that is created by the global fi nancial crisis, is seen from the reduction in confi dence indexes.
