A case of rhinoorbitocerebral mucormycosis

Mucormycosis is an invasive fungal infection spreads progressively in immuncompromized patients. Early recognition and management of this infection is quite important. Underlying predisposing factors should be treated; in addition to the aggressive surgical debridement of infected tissue and appropriate antifungal therapy should be given. In this case report, a patient that has diabetic ketoacidosis with rhinoorbitocerebral mycormycosis treated by amphotericin B, endoscopic sinus surgery and hyperbaric oxygen is presented.
