Bu çalısmada 18 adet inek ve 18 adet düve olmak üzere toplam 36hayvanda, diöstrüsün erken (siklusun 5-9. günleri) ve geç (siklusun ineklerde10-15. düvelerde ise 10-14. günleri) dönemlerinde enjekte edilen luprostiol'ünenjeksiyon-östrus aralığı üzerine etkisi ile enjeksiyondan 72 ve 96 saat sonrayapılan tohumlamalar sonucu elde edilen gebelik oranları arastırılmistır.Erken ve geç dönem enjeksiyon-östrüs aralıkları sirasıyla düvelerde 49 ve53.75 saat (P>0.05), ineklerde 48.86 ve 71.75 saat (P<0.00l) olarak bulunmustur.Diöstrüsün geç döneminde luprostiol enjeksiyonunu takiben yapılantohumlamalardan düve ve ineklerde %75, buna karsılık diöstrüsün erkendönemindeki luprosliol enjeksiyonunu takiben yapılan tohumlamalardan isedüvelerde %30 ve ineklerde %50 oranında gebelik elde edilmistir.Çalısma sonucunda, diöstrüsün erken döneminde luprostiol enjekte edilenhayvanlarda enjeksiyon-östrüs aralıgının diöstrüsün geç dönemindeki enjeksiyon-östrüsaralıgından daha kısa oldugu ve bu hayvanlara 72-96. saatlerde yapılantohumlamaların geç kalması nedeniyle de gebelik oranlarının düstügügörüldügünden, diöstrüsün erken döneminde prostaglandin enjekte edilenhayvanların 72. saatten daha önceki bir zamanda ya da östrüsler gözlendiktensonra tohumlanmasının uygun olacağı kanısına varıldı.

The effects of luprostiol injections at early (5-9 th days of cycle)and Iate (10-15 th days of cycle for cows and 10-14 th days for heifers) diestrus oninjection- estrus intervals and pregnancy rates obtained from fixed time inseminationsat 72 and 96 th hours after injections were investigated in thirty-six animals ( 18 cowsand 18 heifers).The injection-estrus intervals for the early and late stages were 49 and 53.75hours in heifers (P>0.05) and 48.86 and 71. 75 hours in cows (P<0.001).Pregnaney rates in heifers and cows injected with luprostiol at the Iate stage ofdiestrus were 75 %. However in heifers and cows following injections with luprostiolat early diestrus, pragnancy rates were 30 and 50 %, respectively.As a conclusion,injection- estrus intervals in animals received luprostiolinjections at early diestrus were shorter than those of animals received luprostiol atIate diestrus.It has been considered that fixed time inseminations at the 72 and 96 th hoursafter luprostiol injections aren 't favourable for the animals receiving luprostiolat early diestrus and the inseminations should be held earlier than 72 th hours orfollowing the estrus detection.
