JUST IN TIME MANAGEMENT STRATEGY AND LEAN MANUFACTURING

Lean Manufacturing System aims for the continuous development and removing unnecessary expenses. The purpose is to deliver value which starts with raw material to final customers without interruption throughout value creating process. Just-in-Time means making “only what is needed, when it is needed, and in the amount needed.” JIT inventory management system, is a production model in which items are created to meet demand, not created in surplus or in advance of need. The purpose of JIT is to avoid the waste associated with overproduction, waiting and excess inventory. In this study, lean manufacturing and JIT inventory management, I confirmed that strength of these two management systems. implementation which correlates with business results for both lean and JIT programs. My results indicate that lean and JIT management programs lead to improved business results.
