F-35 Programı ve Türk Hava Kuvvetleri'nin Geleceği

F-35 Müşterek Taarruz Uçağı, günümüz hava muharebesinin ihtiyaçlarının karşılanması amacıyla ABD’nin öncülüğünde 9 devletin ortaklaşa ürettiği ve günümüzde Türkiye dâhil 14 ülke tarafından sipariş edilen, bugüne kadar yapılmış en büyük askeri havacılık programlarından biridir. Ortaya çıkan 5. nesil uçak; ağ merkezli muharebe altyapısı, radarlara karşı düşük kesit alanı ile düşük görünürlük, gelişmiş radar ve algılama sistemleriyle kendisinden önce gelen 4. nesil savaş uçaklarından ayrılmaktadır. Türk Hava Kuvvetlerinde F-35 uçağının edinilmesiyle, F-4E 2020 uçaklarının envanterden çıkarılması ve 5. nesil savaş uçağı kullanan kuvvetler arasına girilmesi planlanmıştır. Fakat S-400 hava savunma sistemi tedariki sonrası Türkiye projeden çıkarılmıştır. Bu durum THK’nin önümüzdeki 20 yıllık süreçte planlanmayan zorluklarla karşılaşmasına neden olacaktır.
