Yunus Emre’nin şiirlerinin etkisi yaşadığı coğrafyayı aşmış, dünyanın çeşitli yerlerinde onun şiirlerinin çevirilerine rastlanır hale gelmiştir. Zira büyük ozan ve şairlerin yapıtları hem kendi hem kendi içinde yaşadığı toplumun nesilleri hem de öteki milletler tarafından anlaşılmaya, yorumlanmaya ve anlatılmaya çalışılır. Bu amaçla şiir çevirileri çeviribilimin her zaman ilgisini çekmiştir. Çeviribilim, kendi gelişim sürecinde bu eserleri çeşitli yöntemlerle kaynak dilden erek dile aktararak kültürler arası bir köprü oluşturmuştur.  Uyarlama (adaptasyon) yöntemi bu çalışmada incelenen şiirlerin erek dile aktarılmasında sıklıkla kullanılmıştır. George L. Bastin’e göre uyarlama; çeviri yoluyla kesintiye uğrayan bir ifadenin duygu, [düşünce, olay, olgu, …] iletişim dengesini yeniden yapılandırmaya yönelik anlatım süreci olarak tanımlamaktadır. Sertkaya (2014) daha yerel bir ifadeyle uyarlamayı “Esasında adaptasyon bir çeşit ilham ve örnek almadır.” şeklinde tanımlamıştır. Bu çalışmada Yves Régnier’in Yunus’un şiirlerinden Fransızcaya yaptığı uyarlamalar çeviribilim çerçevesinde değerlendirilecek ve kaynak dilde verilmek istenen düşüncenin erek dilde karşılanabilirliğine ilişkin çıkarımlar yapılacaktır.

The influence of Yunus Emre's poems has surpassed the geography in which he lived, and his poems have been translated in various parts of the world. Because the works of the great bards and poets are tried to be understood, interpreted and explained by both the generations of the society in which they live and the other nations. For this purpose, poetry translations have always attracted the attention of translation studies. In the process of its own development, translation studies formed an intercultural bridge by transferring these works from the source language to target language in various ways. Adaptation method is frequently used in the transfer of the poems studied in this study into target language. George L. Bastin describes the adaptation as a process of an expression reconstructing the balance between emotion, [thought, event, fact,,] and communication that is interrupted by translation. Sertkaya (2014) defined the adaptation, with a more local expression, as “In fact, adaptation is a form of inspiration and example. In this study, the adaptations of Yves Régnier from the poems of Yunus to French will be evaluated within the framework of translation studies and inferences will be made about the affordability in the target language of the thought trying to be given in the source language.
