Bu çalışmada Susurluk (Simav) Çayı ve Manyas Gölü'nün Ephemeroptera faunasının tesbiti ve türlerinin yayılışlarının ortaya konması amacı ile Haziran 1996 ve Ağustos 1997 tarihleri arasında 1744 adet nimf örneği toplanarak incelenmiş ve 10 familyaya ait 21 cinse bağlı 36 tür tesbit edilmiştir. Bu türlerden Baetis gracilis Bogoescu & Tabacaru, 1957 Türkiye'den ilk kez bildirilmektedir. Çalışmada ayrıca B. gracilis'ın nimfinin kısa bir tanımı yapılarak, bazı vücut parçalarının şekilleri çizilerek verilmiştir.

In this study 1744 nymphs were collected to determine and to find the distribution of Ephemeroptera fauna of Susurluk (Simav) stream and Manyas lake basin between the dates of June, 1996 and August, 1997. These samples were consisted of 36 species from 21 genera which belong to 10 families. Among these Baetis gracilis Bogoescu & Tabacaru, 1957 has been recorded in Turkey for the first time. Additionally, a short description and the figures of some body parts of nymph of B. gracilis are given here.
