Turkish Archival Material in Greek Historiography

Bu çalışma, uluslararası Modern Yunan çalışmalarıyla ve Osmanlı çalışmalarıyla ilgili olarak ilgi alanını tanımlamaya ve sağlamlaştırmaya çabalayan diğer disiplinlere oranla daha güncel bir tarih disiplini olan Yunanistan’daki Osmanlı/Türk çalışmalarının oluşumunu inceler. Ayrıca bu çalışma 2005 yılına kadar Yunan tarih yazıcılığındaki Osmanlı döneminin yerini tanımlar ve bu çalışmanın yanısıra Yunan akademisyenlerine ait Osmanlı çalışmalarıyla ilgili eserlerden oluşan bir bibliyografya da bulunmaktadır.

This paper discusses the formation of Ottoman / Turkish studies in Greece, a relatively recent historical discipline, which endeavors to define and consolidate its domain in relation to both modern Greek studies and Ottoman studies internationally. The study describes the place of the Ottoman era in Greek historiography up to 2005 and it is accompanied by a bibliography of works relating to Ottoman Studies undertaken by Greek scholars.
