Ozon uygulaması ve oral cerrahideki yeri: Derleme

Ozon (O₃) üç oksijen atomundan oluşan renksiz , keskin kokulu doğal bir gazdır. Atmosferin stratosfer tabakasında bulunur ve güneşten gelen zararlı ultraviyole ışınlarını süzer. Keşfinden sonraki ilk yıllarda dezenfeksiyon amacıyla kullanılırken yıllar içinde yapılan çalışmalar tıp alanında kullanımını artırmıştır. Antimikrobiyal , biyosentetik, analjezik , antihipoksik , immünmodülatör gibi özellikleri bulunan ozonun tedavi amacıyla kullanılması ile ilgili günümüzde birçok çalışma yapılmaktadır. Bu derlemede ozon ve ozonun kullanım alanları ile yara iyileşmesi üzerindeki etkilerinden bahsedilmiştir.

Ozone application and its place in oral surgery: A review

Ozone (O3) is a colorless , natural , pungent gas composed of three oxygen atoms. It is located in the strafosphere layer of the atmosphere and filters out harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun. In the fırst years after the discovery it was used for disinfection , the studies carried out over the years have raised the use of ozone in medicine. Many studies are being carried out today for the treatment of ozone with antimicrobial, biosynthetic, analgesic, antihypoxic and immunomodulator properties. In this review, general information about ozone is given; the usage areas of ozone and its effects on wound healing are mentioned.
