This study included the participation of sedentary women between the ages of 20 and 30 who were doing fitness and pilates exercises. Social physique anxiety (SPA) status of participants was compared. Exercises continued for eight weeks. Twenty-seven sedentary women between 20 and 30 participated in the study voluntarily. The volunteers were divided into two groups: pilates group (PG, n = 15) and fitness group (FG, n = 12). For eight weeks, PG performed pilates exercises for three hours a week for eight weeks. The FG performed the 8-week fitness exercise for three days eight week. Body weight (BW), fat ratio (%), body mass index (BMI) were measured before and after eight weeks of exercise program and SPA inventory was completed. Data were analyzed with the SPSS package program. There was a significant difference between BW, BMI and SPA values when compared with the pre-end data of FG and PG (p <0.05). In the comparison between groups, there was a significant difference in favor of PG and SPA values (p <0.05). As a result, we can mention the positive effect of the exercise programs we have implemented in favor of PG.
