Bu çalışma Isparta yöresindeki sağlıklı çocuklarda normal fontanel boyutlarını ve kapanma zamanlarını saptamak amacıyla yapıldı Çalışma kapsamına alınan ve yaşları beş gün ile 20 ay arasında değişen 1252 çocuğun 611 kız 641 erkek ön fontanel boyutları baş çevresi vücut ağırlığı ve boy ölçüm değerleri belirlendi Yenidoğan döneminde ön fontanel çapının ortalama değeri 31 5±1 mm altıncı ayda 19±1 mm bulundu Ön fontanelin kapanma oranı 12 aylık çocuklarda 42 5 16 aylık çocuklarda 85 18 aylık çocuklarda ise 90 8 olarak bulundu Fontanel boyutları ve kapanma zamanları bakımından her iki cins arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark yoktu Anahtar kelimeler: Anterior Fontanelle Size And Closure Time

This study was performed to determine the normal fontanelle size and closure time in healthy children in Isparta region The study included 1252 children 611 girls and 641 boys between the ages of five days and 20 months The size of the anterior fontanelle head circumference weight and height of the children were measured The mean anterior fontanelle size in neonates was 31 5±1 mm and decreased to 19±1 mm in children aged six months The rate of closure of the anterior fontanel at 12 16 18 months of age were 42 5 85 and 90 8 respectively There was no significant difference between two sexes in respect to size and closure time of the anterior fontanelle Key words: Anterion Fontanelle Size Closure Time Healthy Child
