Akut pyelonefritli hastaların Escherichia coli E coli üreyen idrar kültürlerinde P fimbrialı E coli sıklığının sistit ve asemptomatik bakteriürili hastalara oranla daha yüksek olduğu gösterilmiştir Bu çalışmanın amacı alt ve üst üriner sistem ile komplike ve basit üriner sistem enfeksiyonlarmda P fimbrialı E coli sıklığını araştırmaktır İdrarında E coli üreyen 71 hastanın 16 sında 22 5 P fimbria 55 inde 77 5 P fimbria bulundu Görüntüleme yöntemleri ile araştırılabilen 62 hastanın 38 inde basit üriner sistem enfeksiyonu saptandı Bunların 3 ü akut pyelonefrit 26 sı sistit 9 u ise asemptomatik bakteriüri idi 24 hastaya komplike üriner sistem enfeksiyonu tanısı kondu Bunların; 10 u primer vesikoüreteral reflü 4 ü skarlı böbrek 3 ü agenetik böbrek 2 si atnalı böbrek 2 si nörojen mesane 1 i taşlı nefropati 1 i Wilms tümörü 1 i ise tek taraflı çift sistem idi nbsp; Basit ve komplike üriner sistem enfeksiyonlarında P fimbrialı E coli sıklığı farklı değildi p gt;0 05 Basit üriner sistem enfeksiyonlarında P fimbrialı E coli suşlarının oranı pyelonefrit ve sistit gruplarında birbirine benzerdi p gt;0 05 Anahtar kelimeler: P Fimbria Üriner Enfeksiyon Çocukluk Çağı

It has been demonstrated that the incidence of P fimbriated Esherichia coli E coli is higher in urinary cultures of patients with acute pyelonephritis compared to patients with cystitis and asymptomatic bacteriuria The aim of this study was to investigate the incidence of P fimbriated E coli in upper and lower and complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections P fimbria was positive in 16 out of 71 patients 22 5 with positive E coli cultures In 55 patients 77 5 P fimbria was negative 62 patients were investigated by imaging methods 38 of them revealed uncomplicated urinary tract infections 3 of them had acute pyelonephritis 26 cystitis and 9 asymptomatic bacteriuria 24 patients were diagnosed as complicated urinary tract infection 10 of these patients had vesicouretheral reflux 4 kidneys with scar 3 agenetic kidneys 2 horseshoe kidneys 2 neuropathic bladders 1 pyelonephritis with calculi 1 Wilms tumour and 1 unilateral double collector system The incidence of P fimbriated E coli was not significant when uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections were compared p gt;0 05 The incidence of P fimbriated E coli was similar in patients with uncomplicated urinary tract infection such as pyelonephritis and cystitis p gt;0 05 Key words: P Fimbriae Urinary Tract Infections Childhood
