Approach to adolescent

Adolescence is a period of profound physical, emotional and social changes. Promoting healthy adolescent development requires the establishment of health services friendly to adolescent. These services should be available, accessible, approachable, acceptable, appropriate and affordable. Combining comprehensive medical and psychosocial screening, a partnership with the patient to set priorities and effective interventions, may lead the health care provider to play a unique role in enhancing adolescent health.
