Belge Yönetim yazılımları, bir kurum içindeki tüm belge ve bilgi akışını kapsayan, belgenin yaşam evresi süresince; belgenin üretimi, denetimi, korunması, erişimi ve kullanılmasına ilişkin işlevlerde maliyeti azaltıp verimliliği sağlamak için oluşturulan sistemlerdir. Bu çalışmada, Belge Yönetim ve İş Akış Sistemleri'nin işlevleri, özellikleri ve yararları incelenmiştir. Ayrıca Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri, Kütüphane Yönetim Sistemleri ve Belge Yönetim Sistemlerindeki çağdaş yaklaşımlar, kuruluşların e-dönüşüm süreçleri kapsamında ele alınarak anlatılmaktadır.

Document Management Systems covering all the document and information flow in an enterprise are built to decrease the costs and increase the productivity in the document related operations such as creating, controlling,preserving, accessing and archiving operations throughout the life cycleof the document. In this paper, after describing the properties, functionality and the benefits of the Document Management and Workflow systems, the modern trends in Management Information Systems, Library ManagementSystems and in Document Management Systems Software are explained, and their impact on the e-transformation processes of the enterprises arediscussed
