Diz altı baypas yapılan hastalarda ortalama trombosit hacminin sağkalım üzerindeki etkileri

Amaç: Bu çalışmada diz altı baypas yapılan hastalardaki ortalama trombosit hacmi (OTH) değerleri, risk faktörleri ve tedavi protokollerinin mortalite ile olan ilişkisi araştırıldı. Çalışma planı: Diz altı baypas ameliyatı yapılan toplam 117 hasta (96 erkek, 21 kadın; ort. yaş 60.6 yıl; dağılım 45-84 yıl) çalışmaya alındı. Diyabet, hipertansiyon, hiperlipidemi, sigara ve obezite risklerinden en az birini taşıyan hastalar riskli olarak kabul edildi. Ameliyat sonrası hastalar OTH değerlerine göre dört gruba ayrıldı. Gruplar, sağkalım süreleri açısından birbirleriyle karşılaştırıldı. Yaş, sigara içme miktarı, trombosit sayısı, tedavi protokolü, cinsiyet ve risk durumu parametreleri de istatistiksel olarak incelendi.Bulgular: Halen hayatta olan ve kaybedilen hastalar arasında; yaş (p=0.074), sigara miktarı (p=0.882), trombosit sayısı (p=0.496) ve tedavi protokolü (p=0.278) açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark saptanmadı. Cinsiyet (p=0.303) ve risk (p=0.550) parametrelerine göre, mortalite grupları açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık gözlenmedi. Effects of mean platelet volume on survival of the patients undergoing below-knee bypass

Background: This study aims to investigate the relationship of the mean platelet volume (MPV) values, risk factors, treatment protocols with the mortality in patients undergoing below-knee bypass. Methods: A total of 117 patients (96 males, 21 females; mean age 60.6 years; range 45 to 84 years) who underwent belowknee bypass were enrolled in this study. Patients with one of the risk factors at least including diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, smoking and obesity were accepted as highrisk patients. After surgery, patients were divided into four groups according to the MPV values. These groups were compared with each other in terms of survival time. Age, the amount of cigarette smoking, platelet count, treatment protocol, sex and risk status parameters were statistically analyzed.Results: There was no statistically significant difference in term of age (p=0.074), the amount of cigarette (p= 0.882) platelet count (p= 0.496), and treatment protocol (p=0.278) between survivors and ex-patient. No statistically significant difference was observed in terms of sex (p=0.303) and risk (p=0.550) parameters between the mortality groups.
