“Türk Edebiyatı” kavramı Anadolu ile sınırlı değildir. Çok geniş bir coğrafyaya yayılmış bir edebiyatımız vardır. Ancak, bu zenginlikten yeterince faydalandığımız söylenemez. İnanıyoruz ki eğitim ve öğretim faaliyetlerimizde bugün çokça kullanmadığımız Türk Dünyası edebiyatından örnekler kullanmalıyız. Bundan dolayı ana dil eğitiminde kullanılan metinlerin Türk Dünyası Edebiyatlarını da kapsaması son derece önemlidir. Türkçe ve Türk Edebiyatı ders kitaplarına Türk Dünyası edebiyatından metinler eklenmelidir. Örnek olarak, Kurtuluş Savaşımız ortak duygulanma alanı olarak görülmektedir. Çünkü Kurtuluş Savaşımız hem Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, hem de diğer Türk Cumhuriyetlerindeki herkesi etkilemiştir

The term “Turkish Literature” is not restricted to only Anatolia. We have a literature which expands in a vast region. Howewer, it is not easy to say that we benefit enough from this richness. We strongly believe that we must use examples from Turkic World Literature, which as can be clearly seen we don’t, during our educational activities. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to choose texts to be used in native language educatian from Turkic World Literature. Texts from Turkic World must be added to the textbooks for Turkish and Turkish Literature courses. As an example, our Independence War can be depicted as a means of common sentiment, as it was a common theme which arose the feelings of all of us both in the Republic of Turkey and the other Turkic Republics
