Şiir, dilin özel kullanımının ürünüdür. Şairin malzemesi dildir. Sözlük anlamının dışında kelimelerin aldığı yeni anlamlar şiire geçişi sağlar. Đmgeler, mecazlar, karşıtlıklar, karşılaştırmalar dilin sınırlarını genişletir. Şairin hüneri farklılığı okura sezdirdiği oranda belirir. Edebi eserin ilgi çekiliciliği okur/dinleyici ile üst seviyede buluşma noktası oluşturulmasına bağlıdır. Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı’nın, şiirini yazarken karşıtlık ve karşılaştırma tekniğini ısrarla kullandığı dikkati çekmektedir. Bu makalede adı geçen tekniğin sanat eserine kattığı değer tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Karşıtlık ve karşılaştırma tekniğinin şiir süresince okurda zengin çağrışımlara aracı olduğu üzerinde durulacaktır. Tarancı’da bu tekniğin farklı kullanımları tespit edilmiş, bu çeşitlilik sunulmak istenmiştir.

A poem is a stylistic use of a language. Poets’ most useful material is the language. The words used beyond their first meanings give way to a transition to poem. Images, metaphors, contrasts and comparisons broaden the borders of the language. The skill of a poet is identified with how much they feel to the reader. The attraction of a work is related to the meeting point of the work with the reader/listener. It is noticeable that Taranci has used contrast and comparison techniques consistently in his Works. In this article, the effect of the mentioned techniques’ on the value of the work is studied. Contrast and comparison techniques’ effect on richening imagination in a poem is studied. Different uses of the techniques are identified and this variety is to be presented.
