Amerikan Tiyatrosunda Açık Bir VaroluÄ¢: Joseph Chaikin ve Open Theatre
Abstract This article is based on the American theatre actor, director and theoretician Joseph Chaikin who made his mark on American avant-garde theatre during 1960‟s. In the article, first some information will be given about Chaikin‟s theatre adventure and his place in the American avant-garde theatre as there is nearly no literature about him in Turkish. Then his theatre theory will be tried to be explained around two important notions which Chaikin refers a lot: being “open” and “presence”.
