Tonsil biyopsisine bağlı gelişen internal karotis arter psödoanevrizması: Endovasküler kaplı stent ile onarım

Peritonsiller bölge kitleleri, bulundukları bölgedeki yakın ve hayati öneme sahip anatomik komşuluklar nedeniyle inceleme ve tedavi sırasında özel dikkat gerektirir. Elli yedi yaşındaki kadın hasta, başka bir klinikte sol tonsil lojundaki kitleden alınan biyopsi sonrasında gelişen internal karotis arter psödoanev- rizması nedeniyle multidisipliner yaklaşımla tedavi edildi. Sol internal karotis artere lokal anestezi altın- da kaplı stent yerleştirildi. Ameliyat sonrası ikinci yılında asemptomatik olan hastanın boynunda nüks görülmedi

Pseudoaneurysm of the internal carotid artery following a tonsil biopsy: endovascular repair with covered stent

Evaluation and management of peritonsillar masses require specific attention because of their relationship to vital neighboring anatomical structures. A 57-yearold woman developed pseudoaneurysm of the internal carotid artery following a biopsy taken at another center from a mass in the left tonsillar region. She was treated by a multidisciplinary approach and an endovascular covered stent was implanted under local anesthesia in the left internal carotid artery. No recurrence was detected in the neck and the patient was asymptomatic in the postoperative second year.
