ABSTRACT: The study presents an investigation on the optimizing of various coating process parameters for color difference afterabrasi on of denim fabrics by using Taguchi method. The parameters elected for optimization are squeeze pressure, viscsity ofcoating fluid, fabric passing speed, drying temperature and weft density. An L27 (35) orthogonal array wasch sen as experimentalplan. In the evaluations with Taguchi Method, analyses of the signal to noise ratio (S /N) and variance (ANOV A) were used . It wasfound that the mo st effective input parameter for color difference is drying temperature. Also , the satisfying combination forminimum color difference was determined as 17 picks/cm weft density, 120°C drying temperature, 30 dPa.s viscosity, 5 bar queeze pressure, 10 m/min fabric passin speed.
