Investigation of the studies about tear resistance of woven fabric

In this study, tear resistance of woven fabric was defined and the efect of the factors on tear resistance was examined. After that, the studies of some researchers about tear resistance of woven fabrics were presented. In general high tear resistance is preferred for all fabrics although it depends on usage. Consequently, it was determined that because tear resistance is affected by too many properties such as fiber properties, yarn properties, fabric properties and chemical processes it is very difficult to control the tear resistance.
