Tehlike altındaki dillerden biri kabul edilen Gagauzca, Moldova’daki Gagauz Özerk Bölgesi’nin resmi dillerinden biridir. Bu çalışma özerk bölgede konuşulan Gagauzca ve Rusçaya karşı dil tutumlarını incelemektedir. Veriler 13-20 yaş arasındaki katılımcılara uygulanan tutum anketleri yoluyla toplanmıştır. Sonuçlar katılımcıların Rusçaya karşı dil tutumlarının Gagauzca için olanlara göre daha olumlu olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca, cinsiyet ve yaşanılan yerin tutumlarda anlamlı farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur.

Being considered one of the endangered languages, the Gagauz language is one of the official languages of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia in Moldova. This study investigates the language attitudes towards the Gagauz and Russian languages spoken in the Autonomous Territorial Unit. The data were collected using attitude scales applied to 59 participants who were between 13 and 20 ages. The results show that the attitudes towards Russian language are more positive than the attitudes towards the Gagauz language. Additionally, it has been found that gender and the place of residence do not show significant differences in attitudes.
