Elma ağaçlarında verim ve kalite artışı için çiçek oluşumu ve meyve tutumu döneminde yeterli bor beslenmesi önemlidir. Bitkilerde yeterli ve gerekli bor miktarı ile zararlı olacak toksik seviye arasındaki farkın çok az olması nedeniyle mikro besin elementleri arasında bor gübrelemesinin özel bir önemi vardır. Bor elementinin, elma ağaçlarında ksilem iletim boruları aracılığı ile taşınmasının yanı sıra floem iletim borularında da hareketli olması toprak ve yapraktan bor uygulamalarının olabileceği sonucunu doğurmaktadır. Ancak bor gübrelemesinin uygulama dönemi ve birlikte uygulandığı elementler, gübrelemenin başarısı bakımından önemlidir. Bu makalede, elma ağaçlarına topraktan ve yapraktan uygulanan bor gübrelemesinin uygulama dönemini ve birlikte uygulandığı elementlerin etkisini inceleyen çalışmalara yer verilmiştir.

During the period of flower formation and fruit requirements, adequate boron nutrition is essential to increase the efficiency and quality of the apple trees. Due to the existence of little difference between the harmful toxic levels and sufficient boron amount in plants, the boron fertilization has a special importance among micro-nutrient elements. The fact that both the boron is a mobile element on phloem transport and the boron element can be transported with xylem leads to the result that boron element can be applied to soil and leaf practices. However, both the implementation period of boron fertilization and elements applied together with boron fertilization is important for the success of fertilization. In this article, the studies which analyze the effects of the elements applied together with boron and the implementation period of soil and leaf practices of boron fertilization applied to apple trees have been examined
