Konik Işınlı Bilgisayarlı Tomografi ile Pontikulus Postikus’un Görülme Sıklığının Değerlendirilmesi: Pilot Çalışma

Amaç: Pontikulus postikus, içinden ver tebr al ar terin geçtiği atlasüzerinde anormal bir kemik köprüdür ve C1 lateral kitle vidası ameliyatıgeçirecek hastalarda önemli roloynamaktadır. Buçalışmanınamacı,genelpopülasyonda pontikulus postikus’un görülme sıklığı veözelliklerini saptamaktır. Gereç ve Yöntem: 108 hastanın konik ışınlıbilgisayarlı tomografi görüntüleri randomize olarak seçildi. Kesitlerincelendi. Pontikulus Postikusun normal popülasyonda görülme sıklığıbelirlendi. Bulgular: 108 hastanın 10 (% 9,2) ‘unda pontikuluspostikus belirlendi. Sonuç: Pontikulus postikus klinik olarak servikalomurga cerrahisinde önemli bir anomalidir. Bu nedenle ameliyattanönce pontikulus postikus’un görülme ihtimali akılda tutulmalıdır.

Evaluation of Ponticulus Posticus Prevalance with Cone Beam Computed Tomography: A Pilot Study

Objective:Ponticulus posticus is an abnormal bony bridge on the atlas. It plays a significant role in patients undergoing C1 lateral mass screw procedure. The purpose of the this study was to determine of the prevalence and characteristics of PP in general population. Methods: Cone beam computed tomography images was randomly selected from 108 patients. The sections were examined. The incidence of ponticulus posticus in the normal population was determined. Results: Ponticulus posticus was identified in 10 of 108 patients. Conclusion: Thus, ponticulus posticus is clinically an important anomaly for cervical spine surgery. We suggest that ponticulus posticus should be taken into account prior to cervical vertebral surgery
