Bu makale 11 Eylül 2001’de Washington ve Newyork’ taki saldırılardan sonra ortya çıkan hacimli akademik çalışmaların küçük bir örneklemini incelemektedir. İncelenen eserler İslam ve Müslümanlar hakkında olup Kanada ve Amerika’daki üniversitelere sunulan yüksek lisans tez ve doktora çalışmalarıdır. Tez ve doktora çalışmalarının hepsi olayların gerçekleştiği 10 yıllık dönem içerisinde yazılmıştır ve bu çalışmaların tümü İslam ve 11 Eylül 2011 saldırılarına dikkat çekmektedir

THE IMPACT OF SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2001 ON THE STUDY OF ISLAM IN CANADIAN AND AMERICAN GRADUATE HIGHER EDUCATION

This article examines a small sampling of the voluminous academic studies that appeared subsequent the attacks in New York and Washington on September 11, 2001. The examined theses and dissertations are submitted to the universities in Canada and the U.S. and they include works about Islam and Muslims. All of them were written within a decade of the events and all refer both to Islam and the attacks of September 11th, 2001
