SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION LEVELS OF DIGITAL NATIVES EXECUTIVE CANDIDATES

The aim of this study is to determine the social media addiction levels of executive candidates in terms of digital natives. The analyses performed in line with this objective include mean, standard deviation, correlation, and regression (structural equation modeling). The sample consists of students from the management and organization department of a state university. SPSS v.26 & AMOS v.24 software were used for the analyses. As a result of the analyses, participants' daily social media usage time ranged from 1 to 12 hours, with an average of 4.50 (±3.036) hours. The average value for digital natives is 2.991 (±1.078), and the social media addiction average value is 2.325 (±1.147). Alternative cognitive features and expectations on teaching-learning negatively affect social media addiction. Cultural and social values, on the other hand, positively influence social media addiction.
