Polidiasetilenİerin özellikleri ısı, ışık ve çözücü etkisiyle kuvvetli bir şekilde değişmektedir. Bu değişikliklerin deneysel incelenmesi, polimerlerin çözünürlüklerinin az olmasından dolayı oldukça güçtür. Bundan dolayı, bu çalışmada polidiasetilenler için model bileşikler; trans-l,6-dimesitil-3-heksen-l,5-diin ve trans-l,6-difenil-3-heksen-l,5-diin sentezlendi ve polidiasetilenlerdeki değişimler için bir açıklama yapıldı.

The properties of polydiacetylenes are strongly changed by heat, light and solvent. Experimental investigation of the effect of these parameters on the polymer molecules is very diffucult due to their hard solubilities. Therefore, in this work, the modal compounds, trans-l,6-dimesityl-3-hexen-l,5-diyne ve trans-1,6-diphenyl-3-hexen-l,5-diyne, for polydiacetylenes were synthesized and an explanation was made for the changes in the polydiacetylenes.
