Beyşehir-Hoyran napları içerisinde yer alan Şarkikaraağaç (Isparta) ofiyoliti' nin jeolojisi ve petrografisi

Bu araştırmada, Beyşehir-Hoyran napları (GB Türkiye) içerisinde yer alan Şarkikaraağaç ofiyoliti nin jeolojisi ve petrografik özellikleri incelenmiştir. Bölgede ofiyolit birimi tam bir ofiyolitik istifi temsil etmeyip alttan üste doğru bir ofiyolitik melanj, ofiyolit tabanı metamorfîtleri ve harzburjit tektonitlerden oluşmaktadır. Ofiyolitik melanjı tektonik olarak üzerleyen ofiyolit tabanı metamorfîtleri genel olarak alt kesimlerde kalkşist, kuvarsitlerden oluşmakta, üst kesimlere doğru yer yer ptigmatik kıvrımlı amfibol şist, gnaysik amfibolit, epidot-amfibolit ve iri kristalli amfibolitlere geçmektedir. Peridotitlerle olan dokanak kesimlerinde granat içeren amfibolitler ortaya çıkmaktadır. Metamorfik taban üzerinde tektonik olarak yer alan harzburjit tektonitler, tektonik dokanağa yakın kesimlerde litosferik deformasyon ve daha üst kesimlerde astenosferik deformasyon izlerini taşımaktadır. İzole diyabaz daykları tabanda otokton neritik karbonatları kesmemekte, ofiyolitik melanj içerisinde mercek ve bloklar şeklinde yer almakta, üstte metamorfitler ile peridotitleri dayk şeklinde kesmektedir. Metamorfik taban kayalarını kesen izole diyabaz daykları herhangi bir metamorfizma izi taşımamaktadır.

Geology and petrography of the Şarkikaraağaç (Isparta) ophiolite occurring within the Beyşehir-Hoyran nappes

In this study, geology and petrographic features of the Şarkikaraağaç ophiolite in the Beyşehir-Hoyran nappes (SW Turkey) have been investigated. In the study area, the ophiolitic unit representing incomplete ophiolitic sequence consists from bottom to top of an ophiolitic melange, sub-ophiolitic metamorphic rocks, and harzburgitic tectonites. The subophiolitic metaniorphic rocks overlying tectonically an ophiolitic melange consist of calc-schist, quartzites at the base and pass upward in places ptygmatically folded amphibole schists, gneissic amphibolites, epidote-amphibolites, coarse-grained amphibolites. Garnet bearing amphibolites appear in the vicinity of tectonic contact with the peridotites. Harzburgitic tectonites resting tectonically upon the metamorphic sole rocks display imprints of lithospheric deformation near the tectonic contact and asthenospheric deformation in the upper most part. Isolated diabasic dykes don't intrude the authocthonous neritic carbonates at the base, occur in the ophiolitic melange as blocks or lenses and cross-cut both the metamorphic sole and harzburgitic tectonites. The isolated diabases cutting metamorphic sole rocks don't show any sign of metamorphism.
