The effects of low salinity on the swimbladder volume and the hypertophy of swimbladder in the sea bass larvae ( Dicentrarchus labrax L.,1758 )

In this study, it is examined that the effects of low salinity on swimbladder volume and hypertrophic swimbladder at the sea bass larvae. Two experiments were performed to determine the effects of low salinity on the swimbladder volume and hypertrophy of sea bass larvae; experiments dealt with the low salinity (37-26 $\permil$ ) and the natural sea water (35-37 $\permil$ ). In all tanks, swimbladder hypertrophy was observed at 10. days and continued during 3-4 days. At 50. days, volume of swimbladder was determined between 6.942±0.427, 7.215±0.361 mm3 for using low salinity and between 6.785±0.376-6.427±0.332 mm3 for. using natural sea water salinity.Besides, for all group, developing of total length was exsumed 26.02±1.78, 26.72±2.19 mm and 24.65+0.27, 24.17±1.17 mm at 50. days, respectively. In conclusion, survival rates in tanks which the use of decreased salinity are 23 %-29 % and the other tanks which the use of the natural sea water are 2 %-4 %. It is observed that there are positive effect on the hypertrophic swimbladder in tanks, which used high lighting and low salinity.
