Kontrollü koşullarda mis ahtapot (Eledone moschata Lamarck, 1799)'ta Kanibalizim üzerine bir araştırma

Bu çalışmada, kontrollü koşullarda Eledone moschata’da kanibalizm incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, E. moschata’nın aktif bir kanibalist olmadığını ve uygun olmayan besinlerle uzun süreli beslendiklerinde sadece ölen bireyi yediklerini göstermiştir. Dahası, E. moschata kontrollü koşullara bir haftadan daha kısa sürede adapte olabilir ve en az yemle veya yemsiz 4 hafta civarında yaşayabilir

A survey on cannibalism in musky octopus (Eledone moschata Lamarck, 1799) in controlled conditions. In this study, the cannibalism in Eledone moschata (Lamarck, 1799) was investigated in controlled conditions. The present results showed that E. moschata isn’t an active cannibalistic animal and eat only moribund animals when fed unsuitable food organisms in long durations. Furthermore, E. moschata can easily adapt to captive conditions in less than one week, and E. moschata can live easily about four weeks with minimum or no food.
