Amaç: Bu araştırma hekim ve hemşirelerin Sağlıkta Dönüşüm Projesi (SDP) ile ilgili bilgi ve düşüncelerinin incelenmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırma Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi (ADÜ) ile Aydın Devlet Hastanesi'nde çalışan 368 hekim ve hemşireye uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada 11.12.2005 -11.01.2006 tarihleri arasında, 161 hekim, 207 hemşire ile çalışılmıştır. Veriler, anket formu aracılığı ile yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırma tipi kesitsel ve tanımlayıcıdır. Anket Formu, sosyodemografik özellikler ile hekim ve hemşirelerin SDP hakkındaki bilgi ve düşüncelerini içeren sorulardan oluşmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 11.5 programı kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılanların %43.8'i hekim (161), %56.2'si hemşire (207) olup, %46.5'i ADÜ hastanesinde, %53.5'i ise Aydın Devlet hastanesinde çalışmaktadır. Bu araştırmada; hekimlerin %53.4'ünün, hemşirelerin %68.6'sının SDP hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları belirlenmiştir. Pratisyen hekimlerin %85'i "aile hekimliği" hakkında yeterli bilgi sahibidir. Katılımcılardan ADÜ'de çalışanların %39.8'i, devlet hastanesinde çalışanların ise %40.6'sı aile hekimliği uygulamasının birinci basamak sağlık hizmetlerini olumsuz etkileyeceğini düşünmektedir. Hekimlerin %65.8'i, hemşirelerin ise %41.5'i Genel Sağlık Sigortası (GSS) ile tüm vatandaşlarımızın sağlık hizmetlerinden eşit bir şekilde yararlanabileceğini düşünmektedir. Araştırmaya katılan hekimlerin %64'ü, hemşirelerin ise %37.2'si sağlık alanındaki sorunların SDP ile çözümlenemeyeceğini ifade etmiştir. Sonuç: Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; hekimlerin %53.4'ü, hemşirelerin ise %68.6'sı ise SDP hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip değildir. SDP'nin bir bölümünün gerçekleşmiş olmasına karşın çalışan sağlık personelinin henüz bu konuda yeterli bilgisinin olmaması dikkat çekicidir. SDP hakkında bilgi almak istedikleri kaynaklara bakıldığında; hekimlerin %44.4'nün tabip odası, hemşirelerin ise %39.9'nun Türk Hemşireler Derneği yerine sağlık müdürlüğü yanıtını vermesi, Aydın ilinde Türk Hemşireler Derneği'nin bulunmaması ile ilgili olabileceğini düşündürmektedir.

Objective: This study has been performed in order to examine the knowledge and the opinions of doctors and nurses about the Transformation Project in Health. Method: The study, conducted between December 11th, 2005 and January 11th, 2006, included 368 doctors and nurses in Aydin State and Adnan Menderes University Medical Faculty hospitals. 161 of the participants were doctors and 207 were nurses. The data was gathered by face-to-face interviews with the aid of a questionnaire form. It is a cross-sectional and descriptive research. The questionnaire consisted of questions related to the opinions and knowledge of doctors and nurses about the Transformation Project in Health and about sociodemographic features. In the analysis of the data, SPSS 11.5 program was used. Results: 43.8% (161) of the participants were doctors and 56.2% (207) were nurses. 46.5% worked in Medical Faculty Hospital and 53.5% in Aydin State Hospital. In our research, it was found that 53.4% of the doctors and 68.6% the nurses did not have sufficient knowledge about the Transformation Project in Health. 85% of the practitioners had adequate knowledge about family medicine. 39.8% of the participants in Medical Faculty Hospital and 40.6% of the participants in the state hospital thought that application of the family medicine policy would affect the first level health services negatively. 65.8% of the doctors and 41.5% of the nurses agreed that all citizens would equally benefit from the health services with the general health insurance. 64% of the participant doctors and 37.2% of the nurses thought that the Transformation Project in Health could not solve the problems in the health services. Conclusion: According to the research results, 53.4% of the doctors and 68.6% of the nurses did not have sufficient knowledge about the Transformation Project in Health. It is worth noting that although the project has been partly carried out, working health staff still does not know enough about it. 44.4% of the doctors stated that about the Transformation Project in Health, they preferred to receive information from the chamber of physicians. The reply of 39.9% of the nurses to this question being "the health directorate" instead of "Turkish Nurses Association" might be related to the fact that the Turkish Nurses Association does not have a branch in Aydın.
