Tekerlekli Sandalye Basketbol Oyuncularında Core Kas Dayanıklılığı ile Aerobik Kapasite, Hız, Çeviklik ve Spora Özgü Beceriler Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Çalışmanın amacı, tekerlekli sandalye basketbol oyuncularında core kas dayanıklılığı ile aerobik kapasite, hız, çeviklik ve spora özgü becerileri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemekti. Çalışmaya tekerlekli sandalye basketbol liglerinde en az 1 yıl basketbol oynayan, tekerlekli sandalye sporuna özgü sınıflandırma puanları 2.5 ve üzerinde olan, akut yaralanması olmayan 27 oyuncu (yaş ortalamaları 31.78±8.19 yıl, beden ağırlığı ortalamaları 74.48±11.37 kg, oturma yüksekliği ortalamaları 93.67±6.08 cm) dahil edildi. Sporcuların core kas dayanıklılığı Gövde Fleksiyon Dayanıklılığı Testi, Gövde Ekstansiyon Dayanıklılığı Testi ve Fleksiyon-Rotasyon Gövde Dayanıklılığı Testi ile değerlendirildi. Aerobik kapasiteleri 6 Dakika Dayanıklılık Yarış Testi ile hızları 5 Metre Sprint Testi ve 20 Metre Sprint Testi ile, çeviklikleri Top Toplama Testi ile, spora özgü becerileri ise Slalom Testi ve Topla Slalom Testi ile saha içinde değerlendirildi. Gövde rotator kas dayanıklılığı ile aerobik kapasite (r=0.67; p<0.05), hız (r=-0.58; p<0.05), çeviklik (r=-0.72; p<0.05) ve spora özgü beceriler (r=-0.55; p<0.05) arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu bulundu. Ayrıca, gövde fleksör kas dayanıklılığı ile hız (r=-0.38; p<0.05) ve aerobik kapasite (r=0.39; p<0.05) arasında da istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu bulundu. Çalışmamızın sonuçlarına göre core kas dayanıklılığı ile tekerlekli sandalye basketbola özgü beceriler ve saha içi performans arasında ilişki olduğu görüldü. Sporcuların antrenman programlarına core kaslarına yönelik egzersizlerin dahil edilmesinin saha içi fiziksel performans gelişimlerine katkıda bulunacağı düşüncesindeyiz.

Investigation of The Relationship Between Core Muscle Endurance And Aerobic Capacity, Speed, Agility And Sport-Spesific Skills in Wheelchair Basketball Players

The aim of our study is to investigate the relationship between core muscle endurance, aerobic capacity, speed, agility and sport-specific skills in wheelchair basketball players. The study included 27 players (mean age, body weight and sitting height were 31.78±8.19 years, 74.48±11.37 kg, and 93.67±6.08 cm, respectively) who had played at least one year of basketball in wheelchair basketball leagues, with a wheelchair sport-specific classification score of 2.5 and over, with no acute injury. Core muscle endurance were evaluated by Trunk Flexion Endurance Test, Trunk Extension Endurance Test and Flexion-Rotation Trunk Endurance Test. The aerobic capacities of the athletes were evaluated in the field with the 6-Minute Endurance Race Test, the speed with the 5-Meter Sprint Test and the 20-Meter Sprint Test, the agility with the Ball Collection Test, and the sports-specific skills with the Slalom Test and the Ball Slalom Test. A statistically significant relationship was found between trunk rotator muscle endurance with aerobic capacity (r=0.67; p<0.05), speed (r=-0.58; p<0.05), agility (r=-0.72; p<0.05) and sports-specific skills (r=-0.55; p<0.05). Also, a statistically significant relationship was found between trunk flexor muscle endurance with speed (r=-0.38; p<0.05) and aerobic capacity (r=0.39; p<0.05). According to the results of current study, there was a relationship between core muscle endurance parameters and wheelchair basketball-specific skills and on-site performance. It was concluded that the inclusion of exercises for core muscles in athletes' training programs would contribute to on-site physical performance improvements.
