Bu çalışma bir sosyal ve politik teori olarak Feminizm’in Uluslararası İlişkilere (Uİ) girişi ve Feminist Uİ’nin ana akım Uİ teorilerine cinsiyet, devlet ve güvenlik başlıkları üzerinden yönelttiği eleştirileri değerlendirmektedir. Üç ana bölümden oluşan çalışmada öncelikle bir sosyal ve politik teori ve bir hareket olarak feminizmin tarihsel gelişimi kısaca tartışılmıştır. İkinci bölümde feminist hareketlerin uluslararası ilişkilerdeki gelişimi ve bir Uİ teorisi olarak Feminist Uİ’nin genel özellikleri ve Uİ içinde nerede konumlandığı tartışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde Feminist Uİ’nin toplumsal cinsiyet çıkış noktası ile cinsiyet, devlet ve güvenlik konularındaki eleştirel dili ortaya konmuştur. Feminist Uİ’nin ampirik, analitik ve normatif boyutları vardır ve bunlar iç içe geçmiş haldedir. Bu bakımdan çalışmada Feminist Uİ’nin ampirik, analitik ve normatif boyutu birlikte işlenmiştir.

This study evaluates how Feminism, as a social and political theory, made its entrance into International Relations (IR) and major feminist critiques towards the fundamental concepts of mainstream IR theories such as gender, state and security. This study consists of three sections. The first section begins by briefly discussing the historical progress of Feminism as a social, political theory and political movement. The second section summaries historical progress of feminist movements in international relations, and main features of Feminism as IR theory. This section also deals with that how we can classify or situate the Feminism in IR theory. The third section analyses the critical perspective of Feminist IR regarding the gender, state and security concepts by focusing on gender as a central concern in the Feminist IR literature. Feminist IR has empirical, analytical and normative aspects and all these are intertwined. In this respect, this study discusses Feminist IR theory with its all empirical, analytical and normative aspects.
