Bu ara?tyrmada, kapkaç suçundan ceza alan hükümlüler, sosyo-demografik özellikleri ve toplumsal alandan dy?lanma süreçleri açysyndan incelenmi?tir. Kapkaç suçundan hüküm giyenler, hyrsyzlyk suçlaryndan hükümlü bulunan Türkiye genelindeki 32 ceza infaz kurumundan ön bilgi formu aracyly?yyla belirlenmi?tir. Ara?tyrma verileri, 17 ceza infaz kurumunda bulunan, kapkaç suçundan hüküm almy? 61 hükümlü ile görü?meler yoluyla toplanmy?tyr. Ara?tyrmaya katylanlaryn ya? ortalamasy 26.6, ortalama karde? sayysy 5.5'tir. Yüzde 72.1'i hiç evlenmemi?tir. Ailelerin büyük ço?unlu?u göç deneyimi ya?amy?tyr. Genelde büyük kentlerin yüksek suç aktivitesi olan mekânlarynda ya?amaktadyrlar. Toplumsal alandan dy?lanmanyn bir sonucu olarak da kendisine ait bir gayrimenkule sahip olamama ve mekânsal dy?lanma, sa?lykly hem?erilik ili?kileri kuramama, sosyal güvenceden yoksun olma, kamu hizmetlerine (okul, sa?lyk oca?y, sosyal hizmetler vb) yeterince ula?amam görülmü?tür.

In this study, the convicts who were sentenced due to purse-snatching were analyzed in terms of socio-economic characteristics, social exclusion processes and crime and their deviant behaviors. The people who were sentenced because of purse-snatching were determined by a pre-information form from 32 penal institutions in Turkey where robbery convicts are kept. Study data was collected through interviews with 61 convicts from 17 penal institutions who were sentenced because of purse-snatching crime. Average of the convicts who took part in the study was 26.6; average sibling number was 5.5. 72% of these convicts had never got married. Families of the majority of the convicts had migration experience. As a result of the exclusion from the social area, these people were unable to posses their own property, and experienced spatial exclusion; they were unable to make proper fellowship relations and were deprived from social security and did not.
