İnterferon ve ribavirin tedavisiyle gelişen plevral efüzyon

Kronik hepatit C tedavisinde son 10 yılda çok büyük bir değişim olmuştur. Halen hastalığın tedavisinde en sık ribavirin ve pegile interferon (PEG-IFN) kullanılmaktadır. PEG kullanımına bağlı akciğer kaynaklı komplikasyonlar görülebilmesine rağmen plevral effüzyon bildirimi oldukça nadirdir. Bu yazıda ribavirin ve PEG-IFN tedavisi verin bir hastada gelişen izole plevral efüzyonu literatür eşliğinde sunmayı amaçladık.

Pleural effusion with interferon and ribavirin therapy

There has been major changes in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C for 10 years. Ribavirin and pegylated interferon (PEG-IFN) are the most commonly used therapy at the present. Although pulmonary complications can be seen due to the use of PEG-IFN, pleural effusion is very rare. We aimed to present isolated pleural effusion as a rare complication developed while given ribavirin and PEG-IFN therapy.
