Rahat, her şeyden önce ergonomik, temiz ve zevkli giydirilmiş bir çocuğun kendine olan güven duygusu artmakta, daha mutlu ve neşeli olmaktadır. Bu nedenle bebeklerin giysi modelleri, kumaşları, aksesuarları ve kalıpları büyük önem taşımaktadır. Kalıp ölçüleri, bebeğin bedenine uygun olmalı ve fiziksel olarak rahatsızlık vermemelidir. Bebeklere alışveriş merkezlerinde giysiyi denetmek çok zor, sıkıntılı ve sağlıksız bir işlemdir. Ancak bebeklerin giysileri alınmadan önce deneme şansları yoktur. Bu durum, aileleri bebeklerinin giysilerini yaş veya boya göre satın almak zorunda bırakmaktadır. Bu nedenle giysi ölçülerinin; bebek giysilerinde daha özenli bir şekilde saptanması gerekmektedir.
