1933'te kurulup 1962'de fakülte durumuna geçişi arasındaki dönem içinde, İstanbul Üniversitesi Eczacı Mektebi'nde 5 yabancı profesör, enstitü direktörü olarak görev almıştır: Prof.Dr. Alfred Heilbronn (1885-1961), Farmakobotanik ve Genetik Enstitüsü direktörü, 1933-1960, 1955‟te emekli; Prof.Dr. Kurt Bodendorf (1898-1976), İspençiyari Kimya Enstitüsü direktörü, 1935-1939; Prof.Dr. Pierre Duquénois (1904-1986), İspençiyari Kimya Enstitüsü direktörü, 1940- 1945; Prof.Dr. Leopold Rosenthaler (1875-1962), Galenik Farmasi Enstitüsü direktörü, 1940-1950; Prof.Dr. Carl Heinz Brieskorn (1913-2000), Galenik Farmasi Enstitüsü direktörü, 1952-1955. Bu makalede, son dört profesörün İstanbul'daki bilimsel faaliyetlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Prof. Heilbronn, daha evvelki bir makalede tanıtılmıştır

The foreign professors in the School of Pharmacy of Istanbul University (1933-1962)

Five foreign professors have been active in the School of Pharmacy of Istanbul University, founded as a school in 1933, reorganized as a faculty in 1962. All were department directors. Their names and the years they stayed in Istanbul are as follows:Prof. Dr. Alfred Heilbronn (1885-1961), director of the Dpt. of Pharmaceutical Botany and Genetics, 1933-1960, retired 1955; Prof.Dr. Kurt Bodendorf (1898-1976), director of the Dpt. of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, 1935-1939; Prof.Dr. Pierre Duquénois (1904-1986), director of the Dpt. of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, 1940-1945; Prof.Dr. Leopold Rosenthaler (1875- 1960), director of the Dpt. of Pharmaceutical Technology, 1940-1950; Prof.Dr. Carl Heinz Brieskorn (1913-2000), director of the Dpt. of Pharmaceutical Technology, 1952-1955.The present article exposes the scientific activities of four of them. The activities of Prof.Heilbronn has been already treated in a former paper.
