Amputasyon güdüğünde Citrobacter freundii’ye bağlı postoperatif osteomyelit gelişen olgu
Gram negatif basillere bağlı olarak osteomyelit gelişimi nadiren bildirilmektedir; özellikle orak hücreli anemi, intravenöz ilaç bağımlılığı gibi altta yatan hastalığı olan olgularda görülmektedir. Citrobacter freundii, Enterobacteriaceae ailesinde yer alan Gram negatif bir basil olup, üriner sistem infeksiyonu, pnömoni, bakteriyemi, sepsis, intraabdominal enfeksiyonları ve santral sinir sistemi enfeksiyonlarına neden olabilmektedir; nadiren osteomyelite neden olabilir. Bu yazıda, silahlı yaralanma sonrası ampütasyon uygulanan, amputasyon bölgesinde C. freundii’ye bağlı olarak postoperatif osteomyelit gelişen, 38 yaşında bir erkek hasta sunulmuştur.
Postoperative osteomyelitis case due to Citrobacter freundii in amputation stump
Osteomyelitis due to Gram negative bacilli is rarely reported, it can be seen especially in patients with underlying diseases as sickle cell anemia or intravenous drug abuse. Citrobacter freundii is a Gram-negative bacilli in the Enterobacteriaceae family and it may cause urinary tract infections, pneumonia, bacteremia, sepsis, intraabdominal infections and central nervous system infections, but rarely osteomyelitis. In this article, we present a 38 year old male patient who underwent amputation after a gunshot injury and developed postoperative osteomyelitis on amputation region due to C. freundii.
