Sosyal Bilimler Alanında Öğrenim Gören Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Eğitim Memnuniyeti Ölçeğinin Geliştirilmesi

Bu çalışma sosyal bilimler alanında eğitim gören üniversite öğrencilerinin eğitim memnuniyetini ölçen bir ölçek geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bilgi toplumuna geçiş ile birlikte bilgiye ulaşma imkanları ve hızı artmış buna paralel olarak eğitim alanına verilen önem artmıştır. Eğitimin önem kazanması rekabeti ve üniversitelerin çağa ayak uydurma çabasını hızlandırmıştır. Bu bağlam içerisinde eğitim memnuniyetini ölçme ve değerlendirme faaliyetleri sadece üniversite dışındaki yapıları değil üniversitenin kendi iç kurumlarının da ilgisini çekmeye başlamıştır. Çalışma bu anlamda son yıllarda giderek önem kazanan eğitimde memnuniyet düzeyini çok boyutlu ve doğru bir biçimde ölçen bir ölçek geliştirmenin bu alanda önemli bir katkı sağlayacağını öngörmektedir. Ölçek geliştirme çalışması 2018/2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesinde öğrenim gören Sosyoloji, İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı, Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı ve Arkeoloji alanlarında öğrenim gören 424 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada eğitim memnuniyeti açısından sadece hoca ve öğrenci ilişkisine bakılmamış, üniversitenin fiziksel altyapısına sosyal ve kültürel faaliyetlerine, kütüphanenin durumuna üniversitedeki kafe ve eğlence yerlerinin yeterlilik durumu gibi pek çok boyuta bakılarak eğitim memnuniyeti ölçülmüştür. Yapılan analizler doğrultusunda ölçeğin, sosyal bilimler alanında eğitim gören üniversite öğrencilerinin eğitim memnuniyetini ölçen geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu ortaya konulmuştur

Development of the Educational Satisfaction Scale of University Students Studying in Social Sciences

This study aims to develop a scale that measures the educational satisfaction of university students studying in the social sciences. With the transition to the information society, the opportunities and speed of access to information have increased and the importance given to education has increased. The importance of education accelerated the competition and the efforts of universities to keep up with the age. In this context, the activities of measuring and evaluating educational satisfaction have started to attract not only the institutions outside the university but also the internal institutions of the university. In this sense, the study predicts that developing a scale that accurately measures the level of satisfaction in education, which has become increasingly important in recent years, will make a significant contribution in this field. The scale development study was applied to 424 students studying Sociology, English Language and Literature, Turkish Language and Literature and Archeology at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 2018/2019 academic year. In this study, not only the relationship between teacher and student was examined in terms of educational satisfaction, education satisfaction was measured by considering the physical infrastructure of the university, its social and cultural activities, the state of the library service, the adequacy status of cafes and entertainment places in the university. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the scale is a valid and reliable scale that measures the educational satisfaction of university students studying in social sciences.
