AVRUPA PATENT SİSTEMİ İÇİNDE AVRUPA TOPLULUK PATENTİNİN YARATILMASI

The European Patent Convention went into force on 7 October 1977 and a European Patent Office was established in Munich. This system, to which the Turkish Republic acceded as the 20th Member State in October 2000, established a common European Patent and provided a unitary and centralized grant procedure in any one of the three official EPO languages: English, French and German. According to a Proposal for a Regulation presented by the European Commission on 5 July 2000, it will be possible to apply to the Munich Office and to obtain a Community Patent that will be valid in all the Member States of the European Union.
